I installed El Capitan (10.11.2) few days ago. After that using Outlook (Microsoft Office for Mac, version 14.4.4) has been impossible (it just hangs like has been described here many times).

I read from Microsoft Support pages that installing Microsoft Office for Mac 2011 14.5.6 Update solves the problem.

Requirements for installing the update are:

- Microsoft Office for Mac 2011 14.1.0 or later (I have 14.4.4)

- Mac OS X 10.5.8 or later (I have 10.11.2)

When I try to install it, on the 'Destination Select' phase it tells me:

'Office 2011 14.5.6 Update can't be installed on this disk. A version of the software required to install this update was not found on this volume.'

I have not moved or renamed my Office folder.
