Help for Behringer BCF controllers on Mac -solution!
Hi,
I just made a good discovery. The Behringer Bcontrol units like the BCF2000
have an editor, that has never worked properly on the Mac. I am integrating
my BCF2000 into my new setup and decided to try the editor one more time.
This time, I got it to work 100% with the Java editor. In the past, you needed
a driver for java MIDI that no longer works on 64 bit MacOS, but if you
go to this site and follow the instructions, you can ressurect your BCF on your
64bit Mac and edit all the presets yourself.
Download and follow the instructions here
mmj - Midi for java on Mac OS X
and install your BCedit from the behringer website.
You will now have your BCF editor running, even on Mavericks..
EDIT: You also need to go to this site and follow the instructions for compiling this tiny C program to strip out bad MIDI strings!
